Happy 2008, everyone! We wish you all a happy and healthy year ahead. Well, I finally decided to take the plunge and dive into the world of blogging. I decided to create this blog after reading and enjoying other blogs out there in Cyberspace -- my favorites include my sister's and the handful of adoption blogs that I read on a daily basis. I thought this would be a great way to chronicle our life with our 18-month-old son, who will be known as Bear Cub (BC) in this blog.
Why Bear Cub, you may ask? We joyfully adopted this beautiful child in July 2007. What a blessing he is! He was born in Vladivostok, Russia - which is on the far eastern coast of Russia. What a journey and adventure that process was in itself! For those of you who may not know, the bear is the national animal of Russia. And being that we traveled (twice!) to Russia to adopt our son, he became known as our lil' Bear Cub. Besides that, he's like a bear cub because not only is he cuddly , but he also loves to tumble and play!
So this is where I hope to keep our family and friends updated on our life with Bear Cub, so I hope you all enjoy! I am thinking of doing a post detailing our adoption process in the future, for those of you who did not receive the emails along the way. We have now been home with BC for about 5 months now. It has been an awesome experience becoming parents...tiring at times, confusing, difficult, but SO incredible all the same.
