The newest trick at the park - slide climbing. Oh my.

Smiling happily while watching parts of the movie "Cars" on TV for the first time. He had to run into his room to dig out his McQueen race cars to watch with him.

O, Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

Last night...watching a bit of "The Polar Express" (all these great holiday movies are on TV now!) Notice how he is SO focused that he isn't even aware of Zoe sneaking in for his snowman cookies. Talk about being in the zone...

Him saying, "Oh no!" as he's about to slide down into a mound of dirt that he strategically placed at the bottom of the slide. This boy is a dirt LOVER!!!

So... we are having a bit of pronoun confusion lately in our house! Bear Cub hears me say things like, "I can do it for you, or you can do it by yourself." Lately, he's been saying, on his own, "Do dat by yourself!" Meaning...he wants to do it by "myself." It's pretty funny to try to explain that to him, because we say "your" and he needs to say "me" or "my" but it's just so hard! He also does this with "you" and "me" in some instances. Crazy grammar...

He has also become the KING of deal-making. It's actually quite scary and a reflection on us and how we get him to do certain things for us. We'll ask him to do something and most often, his response is something like, "Get Skittle" or "Get mint." Noooooooo....not everything is a deal around here, kiddo! But wow, he sure likes to play it up. He may be a hard-nosed salesman one day. I may let him do our negotiating next time we have to buy a car. He's good!

Let's see...in other news around here....it's been a busy week with going to the gym, visiting friends and their new baby and tomorrow is a photo shoot at another friend's house. A photographer is coming to take pictures for a very LOW cost, so I decided to take him over and give it a try for his almost 2 1/2 year old pics. We'll see how he does. I'll have to bribe him. Oops! Did I just type that? No wonder he's always striking up those deals with us....
